back in the fun days of rock 'n roll in the sixties came a band from "wilkes-barre, pa." called "mel wynn and the rhythm aces". the band played in many of the top hot spots in pennsylvania. they had a hit record on the "roulette records" label. the band members were: mel wynn-singer, jerry sechleer-guitar, dave pearn-bass, frank loch-organ, ronnie ashton-saxophone, and angelo stella-drums. also included, was bob o'connell-organ and rich garinger-trumpet. i had the privlege to watch this band rehearse and also perform. i have a lot of love and admiration for all of them. even though i was just in grade school at the time, i remember mel wynn and the rhythm aces vividly. i personally had a great time with all of them. i am hoping this brings back some memories to all of you and hope for the younger generation a new beginning.
